Watch Your Tongue!

Hello, we are going to continue from where we stopped in the last update by discussing some of the principles of living in Zion (click here for the last update).

The first thing you must know is how to use your tongue. Your tongue is one of the most powerful instrument God gave you to use in this life. The tongue can make you or mar you, depending on how you use it. It is your sword too. Whether you like it or not, whether you know about it or not, you life today is a result of what you said yesterday!
Let's take a look at some of the bible verses that told us about the use of our tongue.

James 3v 3-5 says, 'When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.Your tongue was giving to you to chart the course of your life.'

Proverb 18 v 21 KJV says, 'death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.'
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 12 v 37, 'for by thy words, thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.' It is important to know that your words direct your life pattern, you have what you say.
Mark 11 v 23, '..for verily I say unto you, that WHOSOEVER shall say unto this this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass, HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH.'

The first thing to note in the last bible verse is that Jesus said, 'whosoever shall say' meaning it could be me or you saying. Secondly, He also said you shall have 'whatsoever' you have said. So, the fact is anybody can say anything and have whatever he/she said.
Question: What are you saying?
This principle can work for or against you. You need to say the right thing always, stop making those negative confessions. If you feel sick in your body, declare the Word of God. You can say, 'Father, I receive my healing now in the name of Jesus Christ for by His stripes I am healed!' Remember the bible said in Proverb 15 v 4 GWT, 'a soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue breaks the spirit.'

We have so much to discuss on this topic, but I will stop here for now and continue again as the Spirit leads. Remember to speak right always. Your words can either make you or destroy you, build your life today by speaking right. You can change your tomorrow today, all you need is to speak the right word, particularly say what God has said about you. Stay tuned and God bless you!
